""Questo piccolo grande amore" - this is the title of Claudio Baglionis cult-album of the year 1972. An album, that tells actually a love story - but the lovestory did not get many attention. So in the year 2008 Claudio starts a new project, because he will communicate this lovestory - Er benutzt dazu "4 Motoren", wie er selbst sagt, denn er bringt uns seine Liebesgeschichte auf 4 Wegen nahe:

Movie:
Claudios lovestory was recorded and was published at 11.February 2009 at all italian cinemas. It tells the story of two teenager, Andrea, in the first year of the architectural studies and Giulia, in the last year of the school. They lives in the delirium of the senses of the first love in the difficult time of passage between youth and maturity. This theme and other tells the pop-movie, which story was inspired by the cult-album QPGA - songs of the QPGA double album - fresh and exciting - made in the Eternal City. Director: Riccardo Donna, screenwriter: Ivan Cotroneo and the two actors: Emanuele Bosi and Mary Petruolo.

Book:
Claudio wrotes a book about his lovestory. A intense and exciting journey to the thrill of the memory, the search of the personal identity, many questions not answered yet and forgotten senses, which are knocking on the door of the awareness. This is the important signification of the first trial of the narrator Claudio Baglioni - "QPGA" - the roman will published in spring 2009 by Mondaduri.
It is the story of a symbolic moment of all lives, in which the magic is broken, the dream is fading and the man stays alone and he will confront.....with the reality of his life. In this case the destroyed dream of the first big love of the teenager Giulia und Andrea will be a metapher for Italy, that has lost the illusion of luck and a  economic miracle, followed by one of the most difficult centuries of history. A development, from which one will awake from a overrun of  naivety in hardness, cynicism and etnical instability.

It's not a remake - not a new edition of the QPGA album of the year 1972 - although naturally all 15 pieces are there, but the presentation is totally different from the original. Not only a CD story, but the songs that tells the story of Giulia and Andrea: the first big love, that did not last the for a life time, but that changed forever. Not a simple collection of songs, but a new encounter of many musical forms: ouvertures, preludes, interludes, musical pieces, themes and melodies, which engages and sustain.
An opera. Naturally a modern popular opera. A collection of rock, pop, classic and jazz concerning the Musical editing and sonority. A complete work, fed with the words of the novel, with the pictures of the movie and the emotions of the concerts, in that the songs were live performed before they are memorised. A double album "extraordinary" in the original meanig of the word: out of all stanards, out of every measurement, out of every series, out of tradition.
A double album completely new concerning musical and literal. Not a "simple" remake, but a completly remade musical composition. A score that developes  with the melting of the published and und unpublished pieces. Musical themes, that announce at any one time, signify, develop, express, repeat, enlarge, dislarge. Strophes that become refrains, refrains that turn into "bridges", bridges that build "phrases" and phrases that determine into strophes, which alternate, follow, loose and meet, melodical lines and stimulations, which move forward and which developes quasi symphonically. Different melodically characteristics, which - as the characters of the story - which change the positions of the "scene" of the musical story - protagonists, antagonists, supporting actors, figures, characters of the second row o simply the voices of the chorus.
A superproduction for an intense and fascinating soundscape, in that the love story has insired more than one generation - that tells for the first time, all in one breath, the detailness of the theme and the depth of the field, that was seen until today only on a small path, and that could manifest only a great artist and creator of dreams, like Claudio Baglioni.
There are 70 popular italian guestsingers on the CD. They sings shortly as accompaniments.

Tour:
Claudio made 3 big tours - the first tour, QPGA a primavista, gave us a first inside of his roman lovestory of the year 1972 - a concert more than 3 hours great music with new sounds in new ambiances - with usage of a mega-screen for showing pieces of the QPGA movie - at this tour with modified picture, because the QPGA movie wasn't published yet. The tour a primavista took place Nov'08-Dec'08 in thre big italian cities Roma, Milano und Napoli, in big theaters.
The second tour, QPGA GranConcerto, started in June 2009 in Roma, where the love story takes place and was ended in september 2009 in the Arena di Verona - he travelled with this tour whole Italy with 39 cities. There were open-air-concerts with a complex stage setting and new sounds - again with the mega-screen - this time with clear picture.
With the tirhd tour, QPGA ConcertOpera, Claudio brought the complete version of the love story to the stage. He sung the complete double-cd QPGA unabridged with the parts, sung by the guest singers - with mega-screen and many technical innovations. The tour, Dec 09 - Jan 10 took place in 7 italian cities in big theater halls.

DVD:
"FilmOpera QPGA" finally on DVD - the modern pop-opera from Claudio Baglioni
You can watch it like a movie and listen to it like a CD: 152 minutes spectacular pictures and great music in Dolby 5.1; the DVD is the most extraordinary CD-Video-Clip in the story of popular music - will be published at 20th April. It transforms the quadruple project - movie, book, album and tour - in the video event 2010.
A new and exciting movie, in which the pictures of the QPGA are the basis for the creative graphics, innovative postprocessings, cuts and accelerations, which became vitalised at a exceptionally journey - a visual narration, which presents all 52 songs of the QPGA with a new aesthetic, excited and thrilling: songs, written and interpreted by Claudio Bagioni and enrichedby the participation of 69 singers and instrumentalists - the greatest names in the history of italian pop music.
"FilmOpera" is accompanied by a second DVD - "RetrOpera" - which tells the highlights of two years of realisation of the project QPGA, with the planning and the composition of the event, new backstage pictures, a super photo gallery with 300 pictures, a live documentation from the Teatro Carlo Felice at Genua and the clip of the song "Niente più".

- "FilmOpera": the Movie - produced by Guido Tognetti, directed by Duccio Forzano - with parts of the movie of Richard Donna and zthe visual soundtrack of "Concertopera": the full verion of the modern pop-opera "Q.P.G.A.".
- "RetrOpera": "Blue Screen"-scenes of Claudio Baglioni, before inserted in the movie QPGA, backstage of “Fiore de sale” and “Un po’ d’aiuto” and the recording with the Roma Sinfonietta Orchestra, the test of the tour "A prima vista", the fotoshooting for "Vanity Fair", the work for the clip "Niente più" and the "Pre-Show" at Teatro Greco in Siracusa.
- "LiveOpera": four live-pieces of the last QPGA concert at  Teatro Carlo Felice in Genova.
- "BackOpera": a documantery movie of Paolo Gianolio, developed during one year of tour.
- "PhotOpera": 16 minutes with an extraordinary foto-gallery with 300 photos, shot by Alessandro Dobici
- and the unreleased instrumental piece “Niente più”.

"I was twenty years old and i had decided to capitulate - i and the music on different streets. A feverA fever of talking and doing made it impossible to hold back - and a handful of songs, which are telling a little story - the story of the first big love. That one, that changed my life. Forever. The songs and the story are not interisting - that is enough, i thought - at this point i will quit. Fu Toto Torquati, the pianist at this time tried to convince and said: If you will quit now, we will never know, how it would end. He was right. The "big bang", that changed my life forever and it was the bases for all the upcoming success. Without this CD all would be different. and i won't b e here.

Without Roma QPGA would be never made. The story was born here. In this streets of Roma. Along this river. Mysical mirrored lighta nd the faszinating palsation of their heart. Here are the leading characters born their dreams, their thoughts, their emotions. The power and the fragile of their passion.

QPGA a primavista, the double album , the book and the movie will guide us - it's an attemp to attach the guiltiness, that will never expire. How? The ruturn to the original project. The CD of 1972 could have really been doubled - but i wasn't famous enough. The record label decided to release that album with risc - the success was so unexpected, so overwhelming.

It seemed that The song, thats the title of the album will overshadow many thinks, quasi all the rest. And the fact, that this album should tell a story drove into the background. Not only the little dream of Guilia and Andrea, but also the big dream of the whole generation of the 60'. QPGA-a primavista is a trial to experience this all - the story of a dream. A dream, in that - maybe for the last time - the whole world meet together to dream together.

QPGA is not a usual concert, it is a pop-opera. A unic story-line - with the original songs - completely new arranged with the impressive force of the pictures - stolen from the QPGA movie - with the influence of the plot of the QPGA book. a breathless way down along the chute of passion, dedicated to a city, that never stoped to inspire, shelter our love and to inspirit.

A vulcan of ideas. Claudio Baglioni presents the project "QPGA-2008 pop opera" (Questo piccolo grande amore): At march 2009 a new double-album will be published (36 pieces of music, amongst others 15 songs from the original album and a lot of compositions, which are not at the cult-album), many concerts with a lot of special effects (Milano, Roma, Napoli), a movie (at cinema: february, 11th 2009) and a book (in selling at march 2009).
Four points of demonstration, narration, technics, tools from four different forms of art - the magic of the little big lovestory, assessed between the dream of the 60ies and the awakening of the difficult 70ies. The romance is told in a book inspiered by the concept-album. An album, which was produced by Claudio Baglioni between 1970/71 and which was published 1972 by RCA - the track-title song is one of the greatest successes for the italian people, the song was elected for the song of the century in San Remo and from www.hitparadeitalia.it the title was elected for the top selling title in Italy.
The double-album QPGA:
The name of the CD is "QPGA", will published in march 2009, is a double-album and has 36 pieces of music: 15 songs from the original concept-album and a lot of songs which are not at the cult-album (originally QPGA should be a double-album, but Baglioni was a newcomer and it was published one LP instead of two). Some tracks were found and they were composed to new songs. The hole material was new written, arranged new, interpretated new by Baglioni with the sensitivity, depth and the maturity of a great artist and the forte of the hole material of music, which is create by the musicians of these forty years. Not arepition, but a new needfully creation. It was the artistically return to a project, which was incomletely until now. The original meaning gets a broadening experience because of the view....of the new material,new lyrics, new sounds, new musical engagement and new interpretation.
Concerts  in Milano, Roma and Napoli:
A demonstration of excellent performances in three big cities. A preview of this musical narration on a stage of a theatre. This new pop-opera, the words, music and pictures in a never seen before new and unic staging - it tells the story of the album of 1972. More than 2,5 hours of great life music in a great scene with the promotion of spectacular pictures of a music movie - a grandiose music clip - in which embed any sequences from the movie QPGA and which will presented on a big screen -  "Ciclorama". A concept-album, which will presented by Claudio and his musicians and it will continued by a grat final: the greatest hits from the roman artist. From november, 12th at the Allianz-Teatro in Milano, from novembre 26th at the Gran-Teatro in Roma and december, 8th at the Palapartenope in Napoli. In may 2009 the great tour will continuing in more cities in Italy.
The movie:
