Album.
Q.P.G.A.,
appunto.
Sono
le quattro anime che compongono questo mio nuovo progetto.
Del
resto, il 4 è il numero simbolo di Q.P.G.A.
Quattro
anni di gestazione di quella che,
a
San Remo,
venne
votata la “canzone del secolo”;
una
canzone che si articola in 4 sezioni,
il
cui titolo è composto da 4 parole,
inserita
in un album realizzato da un pool di 4 collaboratori
(Baglioni, Coggio, Mimms, Finetti).
Oggi,
a 40 anni esatti da quando (1969),
diciotenne,
cominciai
a scrivere Questo Piccolo Grande Amore,
siamo
qui per questo nuovo doppio album.
Un
album ispirato a quel progetto
e
alla storia che quel disco (uscito nel 1972) raccontava:
la
storia del primo grande amore.
Quello
che non dura tutta la vita,
ma
la cambia, per sempre.
Dico
“ispirato”, perché questo nuovo
doppio cd
non
è un remake,
né
una riedizione dell’album del 72,
anche
se tutte le canzoni di quel disco ci sono,
naturalmente
in tutt’altra veste musicale.
C’è
molto di più.
Non
solo sul piano dei numeri:
52
brani (37 in più)
per
più di 150 minuti di musica.
Ma,
soprattutto, sul piano
–
come avrete modo di sentire -
dei
contenuti musicali.
Non
è solo un “concept album”, anche se
naturalmente
c’è un fil rouge tematico che lega e segna
l’intero
progetto;
non
è un “musical”,
e
non è nemmeno un album di “duetti”,
anche
se sono più di settanta gli artisti che hanno lasciato
la loro impronta, il segno del loro passaggio
in
questa storia.
Grandi
nomi del pop, del rock, del jazz e anche della musica classica e
della musica per il cinema.
E’
un’opera.
Opera
popolare moderna.
Un
doppio album che,
contrariamente
a tutte le regole del music-business,
non
apre, ma chiude questa tetralogia.
Doppio
album che si è venuto arricchendo,
anche
nel suo percorso creativo,
con
le immagini del film,
le
parole del romanzo
e
le energie dei concerti dal vivo,
nei
quali – per la prima volta -
alcuni
dei brani che sentirete
sono
stati eseguiti in anteprima
e
che sarà riproposto integralmente, i
in
versione live, nel nuovo tour
“ConcertOpera
– Mai prima e niente
più”
Come,
del resto, è sempre avvenuto per le opere:
prima
“rappresentate” e poi
“registrate”.
Questo
doppio cd rappresenta,
allo
stesso tempo,
la
quadratura e la chiusura del cerchio
di
un progetto in quattro anime
che
ho ribattezzato “quadrigetto”.
Ed
è appunto a bordo di questo
“quadrigetto”
che
vi invito in questo viaggio
tra
le mie parole,
le
mie note,
i
miei suoni.

"QPGA"
At
November 24th 2009 in the afternoon Claudio will present his new double
album. The press conference will be transmitted live at www.tgcom.it. The broadcast starts
at 17:00 o'clock.
04.11.09: The double album "QPGA"
"QPGA" - the new double album of Claudio Baglioni, that will
published at November
27th 2009.
It's not a
remake - not a new edition of the QPGA album of the year 1972 - although
naturally all 15 pieces are there, but the presentation is totally
different from the original. Not only a CD story, but the songs that
tells the story of Giulia and
Andrea: the first big love, that did not last the for a life time, but
that changed forever. Not a simple collection of songs, but a new
encounter of many musical forms: ouvertures, preludes, interludes,
musical pieces, themes and melodies, which engages and sustain.
An
opera. Naturally a modern popular opera. A collection of rock, pop,
classic and jazz concerning the Musical editing and sonority. A
complete work, fed with the words of the novel, with the pictures of
the movie and the emotions of the concerts, in that the songs were live
performed before they are memorised. A double album "extraordinary" in
the original meanig of the word: out of all stanards, out of every
measurement, out of every series, out of tradition.
A
double album completely new concerning musical and literal.
Not a "simple" remake, but a completly remade musical composition. A
score that developes with the melting of the
published and und
unpublished pieces. Musical themes, that announce at any one time,
signify, develop, express, repeat, enlarge, dislarge. Strophes that
become refrains, refrains that turn into "bridges", bridges that build
"phrases" and phrases that determine into strophes, which alternate,
follow, loose and meet, melodical lines and stimulations, which move
forward and which developes quasi symphonically. Different melodically
characteristics, which - as the characters of the story - which change
the positions of the "scene" of the musical story - protagonists,
antagonists, supporting actors, figures, characters of the second row o
simply the voices of the chorus.
A
superproduction for an intense and fascinating soundscape, in that the
love story has insired more than one generation - that tells for the
first time, all in one breath, the detailness of the theme and the
depth of the field, that was seen until today only on a small path, and
that could manifest only a great artist and creator of dreams,
like
Claudio Baglioni.

The
double-album QPGA:
The
name of the CD is "QPGA", will published in march 2009, is a
double-album and has 36 pieces of music: 15 songs from the original
concept-album and a lot of songs which are
not at the cult-album
(originally QPGA should be a double-album, but Baglioni was a newcomer
and it was published one LP instead of two). Some tracks were found and
they were composed to new songs. The hole material was new written,
arranged new, interpretated new by Baglioni with the sensitivity, depth
and the maturity of a great artist and the forte of the hole material
of music, which is create by the musicians of these forty years. Not
arepition,
but a new needfully creation. It was the artistically return to a
project, which was incomletely until now. The original meaning gets a broadening
experience because of the view....of the new material,new lyrics, new
sounds, new musical engagement and new interpretation.
